AFRICAN DIASPORA LISTEN UP, GREAT SPEECH BY THE PRESIDENT OF GHANA AT THE US AFRICAN SUMMIT.
Africa is rich—rich in copper, oil, gold, diamonds, and people. But its wealth flows out while its people remain in poverty.
Stealing Africa

Stealing Africa explores the mechanisms that keep the continent poor long after the end of formal colonial rule—revealing how modern multinational corporations, global tax havens, and unjust trade systems continue to extract resources and wealth on a massive scale.
At the center of the story is Zambia, home to the third largest copper reserves in the world, yet a country where 60% of the population survives on less than $1 a day and 80% are unemployed. Meanwhile, in the idyllic Swiss village of Rüschlikon, local government coffers overflow thanks to one resident: Ivan Glasenberg, CEO of Glencore, a commodities giant whose Zambian copper mines generate billions—but almost no tax revenue for Zambia.
Through extensive research and access to public financial records, the documentary uncovers how multinational corporations legally avoid paying taxes through transfer pricing, offshore shell companies, and favorable tax treaties. The result? For every dollar in aid Africa receives, ten dollars quietly vanish—spirited away through financial flows that benefit corporations and wealthy nations.
Stealing Africa is not just a film about economics—it’s about power, inequality, and accountability. It lays bare the modern architecture of plunder and asks the crucial question: What does it mean to be "post-colonial" when the money still flows in the same direction?
Produced by Steps International, this documentary is part of the “Why Poverty?” series and remains a vital watch for anyone interested in global justice, development, and the real cost of globalization.

The African-American history is fragment of America’s history which precisely converses the Black American traditional groups staying in United States of America. Maximum of this population are original people of Africa who were deliberately brought and kept in confinement in the United States of America from 1555 to 1865. Many blacks whose ancestors had emigrated from the Caribbean to America are also considered to be African-American as their roots go back to Central or West Africa.
PAUL KAGAME RECENT SPEECH AT THE UNITED NATIONS. Powerful speech direct and to the point.

Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa, addresses the general debate of the 78th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (New York, 19 - 26 September 2023).
-------
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said, “Centuries after the end of the slave trade, decades after the end of the colonial exploitation of Africa’s resources, the people of our continent are once again bearing the cost of the industrialisation and development of the wealthy nations of the world.”
President Ramaphosa today (19 Sep) made his remarks at the High-level week of the General Assembly.
He reiterated, “The wealth of Africa belongs to Africans, the mineral wealth that is beneath the soil of Africa, must in the end accrue to Africans.”
He urged global leaders to “accelerate global decarbonisation while pursuing equality and shared prosperity.”
President Ramaphosa also highlighted, “It is a grave indictment of this international community that we can spend so much money on war, in fact trillions are spending on war, but we cannot support action that needs to be taken to meet the most basic needs of billions of people in the world, needs such as addressing hunger, health, empowering woman and making sure that there is development in countries that are vulnerable.”
He called on wealthier countries to “meet the financial commitments they have made,” adding that “it is a great concern that these wealthier countries have failed to meet their undertakings to mobilise 100 billion dollars a year for developing economies to take climate action.”

President Cyril Ramaphosa's recent trip to Washington, initially aimed at securing renewed US trade ties and investment, turned into a high-stakes diplomatic showdown with Donald Trump.
The former U.S. president used the meeting to amplify discredited claims of a "white genocide" in South Africa, citing EFF leader Julius Malema in his case.
While Ramaphosa was criticized by some for not forcefully refuting Trump's allegations, his composed demeanor and diplomatic poise have drawn praise from some quarters.

Ibrahim Traore - The New Thomas Sankara & The Man Saving Africa's Natural Resources - In the annals of Burkina Faso's history, a new figure has emerged in the form of Ibrahim Traoré, drawing comparisons to the iconic revolutionary leader, Thomas Sankara. Ibrahim Traoré, a once relatively obscure and low-ranking officer in Burkina Faso's military, has swiftly risen to the center of the nation's political stage. In September 2022, Traoré and a group of soldiers successfully executed a coup, overthrowing President Paul-Henri Damiba, and the aftermath of their audacious move is marked by jubilant crowds welcoming Traoré as the self-declared leader.
With an aura of charisma and an agenda that echoes Sankara's ideals of progress and social justice, Traore has been hailed by some as the new torchbearer of Burkina Faso's aspirations. However, the parallels drawn between the two figures also raise questions about the potential impact of Traore's rule on the nation's political landscape and whether he can truly emulate the legacy of the indomitable Thomas Sankara.
During his conversation with Radio France International, Ibrahim Traoré confidently declared that his time in power would be transitory, as a National Conference was on the horizon to appoint a new interim leader before the year's end. Demonstrating his dedication to a smooth transition of power, he emphasized his commitment to honoring an agreement made with West Africa's Regional bloc, which aims to restore civilian rule in Burkina Faso by 2024. Despite these pledges, the future trajectory of the nation remains shrouded in uncertainty, leaving many questioning what lies ahead for Burkina Faso in this crucial period of transition.
